It’s been months since I’ve found an adequate amount of time to properly blog an entire wedding from start to finish! Not for a lack of images or beauty, but simply out of a desire to try to stay on top of editing, orders and design- not to mention being present with my family.
Today, however, I’ve found a few sweet moments to share this sacred day with you! Ben and Melissa are so charming and genuine. Their love story, one that began years ago, will surely continue on for countless more. A couple with such a fondness for one another that it is evident in each interaction, touch, glance and smile. A love that is heartwarming. Uplifting. Rare.
Their day was especially bright as we celebrated the peeking out of the sun’s rays after a week of incredibly stormy weather. A back up plan…not needed said the bride’s mother confidently. “God has given me a peace.” Indeed, He had! What was forecasted to be a day with a 1% chance of sunshine, dropped only a 2 minute shower from start to finish!
Nestled in the country, in a friend’s backyard, these precious memories were made.
Ben and Melissa opted to have a first look. It was one of the most beautiful moments of the day! Seriously, if this doesn’t convince you to consider an intimate moment before the ceremony, I don’t know what will!
Melissa surprised Ben with an incredible gift during these tender moments. Since the day Ben asked Melissa’s dad for his daughter’s hand in marriage (yes, swoon over the romance and honor of that); she’s been writing out daily prayers for Ben. What an awesome testimony to the relationship that these two share! Can you imagine being able to show your children this one day?
Just before Melissa walked down the aisle, Ben bowed his head for a few moments. In this case, a picture really does say a thousand words.
Love that in this image 2 fathers can be seen. One about to give his daughter away; the other wiping tears from his eyes as his son is one step closer to becoming a husband.
Adore the sweetness of this moment as these two walked away as husband and wife!
Melissa and Ben used some heirloom encyclopedia’s in their decor. It was simply amazing that so many of their choices included items which carried a story- items that had been loved once by someone else.
Melissa’s sister made her lovely wedding cake!
Ben’s mom getting a last hug before the send off.
Congratulations Melissa and Ben! Your day was simply lovely and I know that your marriage will be blessed as you continue to put Him first! May the richest years of your life be ahead of you! Thank you for trusting me with your special day!
