erin: class of 2011

September 30, 2010

Senior sessions are so much fun! There’s an unlimited amount of personalization that can happen and the adventurous spirit of a graduate makes for the perfect balance of energy and beauty. Such was the case with Erin, whom I learned enjoys everything from flag football and marching band to volunteering at a local food bank! Talk about involved! Whew! I was tired just thinking about what her schedule looks like.

Let me introduce you to this fabulous senior, who loves hanging out at the beach, the mall and the movies; who enjoys mac-n-cheese, cheeseburgers and tacos (my kind of girl) and who is currently tossing up these 3 ideas as fields of study at a 4 year university: Marine Science, Forensic Science, or Criminal Analogy!!

We met up at her High School Stadium and started off in the oh so fabulous Florida sunshine! Erin glowed while we captured a few significant parts of her life as a senior.

This girl can even rock a band uniform!

Bright Florida sun, bright blue sky!

Next, we headed out for some downtown love… these are some of my favorites.

Erin has the most beautiful brown eyes! Look at how they sparkle!

Gorgeous.

The yummy golden sunlight finally appeared…

Thank you to Erin and her family for the opportunity to capture this exciting time! Be sure to leave some blog love, share on Facebook and check back on the blog this weekend for one awesome announcement that you simply aren’t going to want to miss!

what’s keeping me busy…

September 25, 2010

I’m still here! I’ve just been so busy working, planning and dreaming… (that’s another post all together), that I’ haven’t posted in a bit. Here are a few things I’m working on. Each will soon find their own place on the blog, but for now, enjoy these delicious sneaks!

Finally, I’ve found a few spare minutes to share more delicious images from Clayton and Kristina’s big and very beautiful day! Since the lovebirds saw one another ahead of time, we had lots of opportunities to explore the property at Goodwood Museum for some couple shots before the ceremony. The lighting was great and the bride and groom were radiant! Here are a few of my favorites…

Yep, Kristina’s shoes are making another appearance!

Seriously, she is gorgeous!

I love LOVE!

One word: Hot.

Killer blue eyes.

Kristina’s dad always told her he was going to wear white shoes at her wedding- he did not disappoint!

The ceremony was so sweet. I especially love the image of Kristina’s older brother reading a passage of Scripture, while her younger brother looks on.

Right after the ceremony and right before the rain shower, I caught Kristina checking out her husband’s new addition to his left ring finger. I love these moments…

…and I love these moments too. Kristina was glowing after the ceremony as she celebrated with her bridal party. It’s easy to feel the joy, just by looking at her smile and that sparkle in her eyes.

You guessed it… one of my faves!

Heading off to the reception in style.

Kristina and Clayton had the best entrance ever! They ran through a sign with their names on it… hands down, the most interesting way I’ve ever seen the bride and groom introduced!

Piggy’s BBQ catered the incredibly scrumptious dinner and their sauces were perfect!

Clayton and Kristina opted for a Key Lime Pie rather than a wedding cake. Yummo!

They also had a dessert bar that was created by various family members’ signature dishes. It didn’t last long!

A few ring shots. I always love it when guests follow us around wondering what in the world we are doing!

A little decorating and dancing…

Congratulations Kristina and Clayton. Thank you for trusting me to capture this precious day and thank you for allowing Rahul and I to be a part of your journey as well. It has been such an incredible honor. We trust that as you continue to hold tightly to one another and most importantly to the Lord, you will see such wonderful things, things that you couldn’t even imagine. We love you!

Don’t forget if you view this post and leave a comment on the blog by September 22nd, the new Mr. and Mrs. will win something cool! For 25 comments, they’ll receive a free 8×10, for 50 comments they’ll receive a free 11×14! So start sharing the love!

This is a story that I wouldn’t even know where to begin if I tried. I could start by revisiting my Florida State University days, when my husband and I first fell in love and met an incredible family at our church. I could tell you how the Chason’s have 8 children and how some of them were in the youth group where Rahul served as the associate and how some were in the children’s ministry, where I was the intern. I could probably even pull out some old photographs, but I’m not much for embarrassing myself! The bottom line though, is that we loved them all very much and were able to be a unique part of their lives- a part that we still treasure to this day.

But, although the past is precious and the memories rich, the story must go on…

Months ago, Kristina emailed me to share that she was living in the area and was engaged. She wanted me to capture her special day and for Rahul to be involved as well. Turns out, he had the opportunity to lead Kristina and Clayton in their pre-marital counseling and I had the honor of being a small part of that time too.

It was precious. Words simply couldn’t explain the things that happened during that time and should I try to type them all here, I would run out of space. One thing rings true- God rocked it! It was beyond humbling to see Him move in such powerful ways.

All that to say, I knew going into this wedding that I was clearly more emotionally tied to the couple than at any other wedding I’ve ever captured. I warned Sarah, my second shooter and cousin, that she may have to step in, if the tears took over… but alas, I survived!

Kristina and Clayton got married in Tallahassee, as you probably already figured out, one of my favorite places of all time. They selected the lovely and charming Goodwood Museum for their special day. It was perfect, which seemed to me, quite fitting for this beautiful new beginning!

Ok, enough of me, it’s time for the pictures- well, it’s time for some of the pictures! There are so many I want to share, I’m having to split the blog post up for this special couple! You see, Kristina has impeccable taste and it was displayed in every part of this day. We’re talking dreamy details for a photographer!!

Kristina’s dress was incredible!

Kristina’s shoes were equally as stylish and if you’ve been following this blog for very long, you already know I have a thing for this particular detail during any session! It just so happens that Sarah felt the same way about this pair of heels- so I introduce you to one gorgeous pair of Gianni Bini’s!

While I was shooting the shoes, Kristina’s youngest brother tagged along. He was fascinated by the old car and I couldn’t help but to document his curiosity!

Love this one of Sarah’s!

I wanted to capture some of the natural charm of the property and hanging these beauties near all the leaves just seemed like the perfect way to do it!

The girl’s got ready in the Carriage House. What a fun and glamorous room!

Annie Agarwal Photography now offers make up services?! Ok, just kidding- but Sarah was the perfect pair of steady hands  to help with eye liner. So glad you were with me girl!

Slipping into the gorgeous dress! The perfect accessory for such a stunning bride!

Clayton chose a fabulous suit for the big day. I am such a fan of this style for the guys and the tie just sealed the deal!

Sarah ran over to capture the guys getting ready for a few minutes. I love the emotion she documented! For the record, there was a huge television in the corner, with a video game system hooked up… yes, Clayton’s groomsmen thought of everything!

As many of you know, I’m also a HUGE fan of the first look. There is something so special about the bride and groom seeing one another before the ceremony. In fact, every couple that’s made this decision has come back to me and shared that it was their favorite part of the day! Friends, Clayton and Kristina defined why the first look was invented:

Kristina’s mom and little sister walking her down to Clayton.

This might be one of my faves from the day (one of like a million)!! Clayton was waiting so patiently while we got Kristina in place. Right before the big moment her mom ran back over for a last minute kiss. This moment couldn’t be more perfect!

That is one happy man!

Whew, talk about a teaser! More of the lovely Mr. and Mrs. Gledhill coming soon!
