cousins: super sneak peek

September 25, 2009

I had the awesome privilege of hanging out with these 2 handsome little guys this morning; and although I warned their moms that the full post and gallery would take a little while, (remember, I’m in catch up mode) I couldn’t resist sharing at least one! This takes my breath away and when you get to hear their awesome story, it will do the same for you!

Thanks Mr. E and Mr. I for all those precious cuddles, lots of bright eyes and finally…. some sweet slumber!

And… because Baby I’s big brother was running around being very busy and equally as cute, I had to include at least one of him too! Check out these eyes! Can we say heartbreaker?!

Hope these put a smile on your face! Don’t forget to post those comments!

collins: quick sneak peek

September 22, 2009

I have to admit, this is going to go down as one of my all time favorite kiddo sessions! This adorable brother and sister pair (and their parents) were so awesome! There are tons of precious images to share, but for the sneak peek, I could not resist this one. I asked the siblings to lay down by one another and proceeded to snap away, when suddenly Miss O reached up to snuggle with her older brother. It melted my heart in that moment and continues to do so each time I look at this picture! Wouldn’t you agree?

Stay tuned, I’ve been behind on blogging, so I’ve got lots to catch up on!

Enjoy this sweet one for now and don’t forget to post those comments:

mattison:maternity session

September 8, 2009

I actually met Cassandra and Tim several years ago in a Sunday School class, when we moved to the area after Hurricane Katrina. So, it was a complete surprise when they walked in for their session; and I suddenly realized they weren’t “strangers” after all! What a small world!

I love the idea of maternity photography! What a beautiful season of life to capture and remember forever! Having been pregnant 4 times, I always get a soft spot when I see an expectant mom and the same was true during my time with this sweet couple.

I truly desire for every session to reflect the unique personalities of those in front of the camera. So,when I learned that Tim had played baseball for USF during his college years and in the minor leagues, it seemed fitting that we would get together at his “old stomping grounds.” The idea of sitting in the stands, munching on Cracker Jacks, with Cassandra’s awesome belly just made me smile! So does the thought of meeting little Elise in October!

Here are a few of my favorite images from the day, as well a movie of our time together. Oh, Tim and Cassandra, that wasp sting I got at the baseball field was soooo worth it!

Enjoy and don’t forget to post a comment!!

diaz:family session

September 7, 2009

I met up with Ben and Lydia, one extremely warm morning, to capture some precious moments of them with Ray. I was so excited going into this session, simply because I’ve had the honor of shooting 2 of Ben’s 3 brothers and their families. I just love this Diaz clan!

But, in an effort to keep it real, my excitement was coupled with anxiety, as Ben’s stunning wife is a model- and I’m not talking a model for your local newspaper, I’m talking…New York model. In fact, this cute couple just moved there! I couldn’t imagine how unique the morning would be shooting someone who’s always in front of the camera, knowing that family sessions are so different and filled with so many spontaneous moments.

The morning was a blast! Lydia and Ben were great, and cute little Ray was nothing short of adorable! And… thanks to Maury (Ben’s mom) and a little patience, we got some precious expressions as well!

Here are some of my favorite images from their session, starting with one that I would be framing in my own home if this was my little girl! I just love how Ray was sticking close to her Daddy! Isn’t it so sweet?

I love this little series from inside the gardens! There’s something so touching about a little girl and her daddy!

Taking a break = having lots of fun!

I believe, one of the most precious moments during family sessions is when the camera fades away in the mind of the clients and genuine interaction begins. This little segment of time can produce the most priceless images, just like this one! You can almost feel the love!bld91

I found out before our time together that Ray’s favorite colors are green and purple, so I couldn’t resist bringing along a little “prize!”

A couple of moments with Maury!bld161

This picture makes me smile…bld101

…as does this one!bld151

Finally, I couldn’t resist sharing these last two. Lydia caught a lizard for Ray during our session. I couldn’t believe how close these girls got to the tiny slimy critter- way braver than me for sure!!bld141

What session would be complete without the true expression of childhood? Silly faces!! bld81

Thanks Ben and Lydia for allowing me to freeze in time some sweet moments of you with the little girl you both love so much. It was an honor and of course, lots of fun! Sure hope you’re enjoying the “Big Apple!” May these images help bridge the distance between you and the ones you adore!

Blessings, Annie

Just a little something to hold Ashley and Brian over until their “real” post is ready!
Thanks for a fun afternoon!
